Longleat Caravan Club Site Friday 1st May - Monday 4th May 2015

We returned to Longleat caravan club site for the bank holiday weekend. Our journey to site again caught the rush hour traffic.  The site was very busy with a caravan club district association rally on site.  We chose pitch 83 which has a waterfall behind it as well as the passing train from the Longleat minature railway.  We have bought a Caravanstore roll out awning and were hoping to try it out over the weekend.  On Saturday morning we visited BCH Camping in Trowbridge and bought a cover for the Cadac and then on to home as people were travelling from Camarthen in Wales to purchase our largest Cabanon tent. We have loved this tent, it has seen us through some very stormy weather on cliff tops and moors. We will be sad to see it go but know that we will not use it again now that we have the comfort of a caravan.

Our prospective purchasers were delighted with our tent and are planning to visit France later this year with their three boys.  We are sure they will get maximum use from use from it and we feel it has gone to a good home.

We went back to the caravan, there was lots of rain during the evening and overnight, pleased it waited until the tent was sold.

Sunday morning we woke at 9.15am - unheard of for us.  The skies had brightened and we cooked breakfast outside on the Cadac.  We pulled the awning out for the first time and sat outside.  In the afternoon we drove to Warminster for a look around.  There were very few shops open which surprised me as Warminster is a garrison town.  There was lots of showers inbetween the sunshine and we treated ourselves to a couple of umbrellas to keep in the caravan.  We enjoyed the reeswt of the day relaxing back at the caravan.  Monday morning we cleaned up and packed up and were back home by lunchtime.
